 Swimming Lessons

Years 3/4 and 5 will have there first session on Tuesday 25th April and should come prepared with their kits.

Year 1 and 2 Sport

Year 1 and 2 are going to a sport activities session on Tuesday 25th April at Church Stretton Secondary School.

 Netball News

After Easter, Year 2 and above will be welcome to join us for netball practise on Wednesdays after school.  Pick up will be from the Village Hall at 4.30pm. It will be weather dependant so please be ready to pick up as usual from school if we need to cancel the session.  We will inform you by text message if this is necessary.

If your child is new to netball club, please ask Vicki for a permission slip for contact details etc.

Plant Sale

Wistanstow Village Hall and Wistanstow Under 5s are having a fund raising event on Sunday 7th May. School would like to have a presence at this community event. The date, just before SATs week, means school is focussed on supporting our year 6 children, but if anyone has plants that they could bring into school for this event, or anyone who could help on the day, please let Mrs Finney know.

 PTA Meeting

The next PTA meeting will be held on Thursday, May 11th. 7:30 at the Plough, Wistanstow.

Tri golf

The tri golf finals are at Lacon Childe Secondary School on Friday 28th April, involving all Y6 and Sky, Tia, Matty, Sethan, Matthew, Alfie G, Jake J, Dylan, Jordy and Serena from Y3/4. This event will take place during the afternoon after a first sitting lunch. Please make sure children have their kit and water bottles in school.

GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS

On Sunday, Lauren, Tia, Amelie and Emily took part in a gymnastics competition held by the South Shropshire Gymnastics Club at the Community Centre, Craven Arms. All participants did well and received a medal for taking part. Lauren received three silver medals for her floor routine, the vault and for the remaining disciplines. Well done to all the girls for their impressive gymnastics skills!

Clubs

Science Club– Discovery Club will be running again after Easter starting Tuesday 25th April, 3.15 to 4.15pm costing £4.50 per session for 5 weeks. Please let school know asap.

 Art Club Deborah is having a summer break and so this week has been her last until September.

 Watch this space…We have a new club starting in May, with a craft/floristry/ gardening theme. There will be more information during the first week of term as to the type of activities for these sessions and the cost.

We have lots of egg-citing activities for all the family this Easter here at the Discovery Centre!  From pond-dipping, to baking and getting creative with themed craft workshops, come and left off some steam and learn lots of new and exciting skills.

Make delicious savoury dressed eggs, chocolate Easter nests and hot cross biscuits. Ideal for those with a sweet tooth!

Easter Eggs-travanganza

Join us for fun for all the family! Follow our Easter trail around the meadows, design an Easter bonnet, make a 3D Easter egg, and decorate a blossoming tree PLUS lots more!

Pirates of the Onny Meadows

For fun on the seven seas, join us to swab the deck, hoist the mainsail and uncover hidden treasure. BUT beware in case you have to walk the plank! Feel free to come in pirate fancy dress, pirate hats will be provided.

Eat Like a Pirate
